Incredible turnout on March 26, 2013 at the Information Technology Job and Career Fair organized by the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS). Held at the Sheraton Hotel Lagos, a huge number of job seekers turned out to browse the displays and speak to IT professionals, managers and employers.
Technology starts to matter when it creates jobs. IT ceases to be a “paper tiger” when it starts fulfilling its promise of employment generation. In conjunction with NCS, committed and concerned actors have moved from concern to action. Kudos to employers who invested in the event – conducting assessments, providing guidance, instilling confidence, analyzing CVs and making recommendations and fixing further discussions and interviews to assist job seekers. We must appreciate these true leaders committed the Future of this nation. IT is a weapon, NCS is dedicated to employing IT to fight unemployment.
